The Strategic Communications Intern will have the opportunity to learn about marketing, media relations, community engagement, and creative direction at the MCA. In this role, expect to:
• Work with our Communications team to help build and support holistic marketing and communications campaigns to support the Museum, and its exhibitions, programs, and offerings.
• Research and help to produce collateral materials as directed.
• Update media contact lists; assist with social media, email, web, and advertising campaigns.
• Collect and report data from campaigns.
• Develop an understanding of the business operations of a communications department by assisting with budgets, reporting, and vendor coordination.
• Work with members from other departments to understand how staff collaborates across the Museum on exhibitions, committee meetings, and other projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings and MCA staff events.
\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This internship opportunity begins 8/12/2024 and ends 5/16/2025. To apply, please submit a resume and include your availability in your cover letter. Must be able to communicate fluently in English. General mobility throughout the building, light lifting, and ability to stand for extended periods of time as scheduled is required. The hourly rate for this role is $17.00.
