DIRECT RESPONSE MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
The Direct Response Manager will play a vital role in assisting the Development Department with managing Museum of the Bible (MOTB) Direct Response program. This position manages and executes the day-to-day calendar of print and digital solicitations on behalf of MOTB. Responsible for high-quality process that combines expert-specified messaging elements with MOTB marketing resources and best practices in mass giving. The Direct Response Manager will work directly with the Director of Development Events & Operations to meet Museum of the Bible’s giving goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Streamline communication and build collaborative, productive relationships with Marketing, Business Systems, Finance, and relevant outside agencies to ensure quality and timely deliverables
Hold regular meetings with all departments to ensure open communication and expectations throughout a project
Provide weekly reports on DM progress and donations
Utilize tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and DonorSearch to assess and analyze donor trends, as well as identify opportunities to engage and grow donor and prospect base
Establish and develop best practices for prospective and current donor cultivation, retention and stewardship
Oversee and facilitate prospect research efforts
Facilitate and prepare donor data requests for outgoing donor communications for events, stewardship, solicitations, etc.
Cheerful persistence needed as you chase approvals, meet deadlines, and encourage collaboration
Strong administrative capacity with willingness to be a player-coach
Work daily with outside agencies and internal departments, streamlining processes and communications

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
3-5 years of Direct Response or equivalent experience

Abilities / Attributes
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time
Ability to travel periodically – up to 10 days a month, a week at a time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Required to work regular business hours in person
Periodic need to work outside business hours when onsite for event
