PART-TIME MUSICAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

Description:

We are in search of a skilled and passionate Musical Marketing Director who excels not only as a talented vocalist but also as a proficient guitarist or pianist. This unique position blends offsite work (70%) with work-from-home tasks (30%), emphasizing support for offsite pickups and drop-offs, meticulous quality assurance in documentation, event coordination, marketing initiatives, and general office administration.

The ideal candidate will not only possess exceptional communication skills but also have prior experience in music, particularly understanding the nuances of selecting appropriate music for elderly audiences. They should also demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to advancing alongside our company as we aim to become a comprehensive therapeutic entity.

In addition to their marketing and administrative duties, the Musical Marketing Director will be directly involved in facilitating musical activities, engaging with elderly audiences through music, and providing one-on-one or group music services. They will also be responsible for generating reports and handling additional tasks as required, necessitating excellent communication and facilitation skills tailored to the specific needs of our audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging musical programs for the elderly, including facilitating activities, delivering 1-on-1 and group music services, and connecting with the audience through music
  • Provide non-musical programs for the elderly and engage them through different activities (when trained)
  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding that the service provided enriches the elders’ lives through primarily musical and some non-musical activities
  • Research and create music programs that resonate well with the elderly audience
  • Create reports that assist the activities department with observations in communication, motor skills, thought process, cognitive functioning, etc. of elders
  • Conduct market research to identify new customers and execute marketing tasks for identified opportunities
  • Distribute marketing bags to designated facilities and locations, and create routes and schedules
  • Facilitate the transportation of materials and supplies between Musical Encounters' office and various locations, including shopping at groceries for events, mail pickup, bank runs, ensuring timely and secure delivery
  • Provide support for special events organized by Musical Encounters, including food preparation, logistics coordination, and on-site event assistance while working with the elderly
  • Conduct thorough inspections of outreach books to ensure they meet standards and fix, purge, and replenish documents and notes as needed
  • Complete various administrative duties, such as data entry, organizing documents, and responding to emails and updates in a prompt and professional manner
  • Be open to performing additional duties assigned by management to meet the evolving needs of the company
  • This role demands a certain level of physical exertion and agility to efficiently perform essential tasks. Key physical activities include prolonged periods of sitting and standing, the ability to lift and carry objects of various weights, pushing or pulling objects, and driving as necessary. The role may also require extensive reaching, working in low postures, bending, clear vision capabilities, and regular walking. You must be capable of meeting these physical demands to successfully execute the responsibilities of the position.

Requirements:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate group presentations and meetings with potential and current customers
  • Prior music experience is required, including knowledge of appropriate music for a specific generation or audience
  • Prior experience with music research, program presentation, and audience interaction is desirable
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of reliability, dependability, and flexibility in meeting job requirements. Be adaptable to evolving schedules, tasks, and organizational needs
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 and other immunization requirements as required by the customer/facility that we serve
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various facilities/locations to perform music services, fulfill pick-up and drop-off tasks and marketing duties, and inspections of onsite outreach books at different facilities
  • Must have a well-equipped home office space suitable for administrative tasks, an area for storage of marketing supplies, and a sanitized area for food preparation when necessary
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emails and updates from management to ensure smooth coordination and task completion
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Zoom or online meetings/services
  • Preferably possess some college education, with a Bachelor's degree in Music or Marketing being advantageous.
  • Some experience in marketing is desirable
  • Undergo training and certification for professional growth in the field of elderly care, or be eligible for certification
  • Office coverage rotation for holidays and weekends

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Starting wage: Weekly 18 hours at $16.67/hour plus bonuses for applicable new contracts
  • Work hours: 6 hours per day, 3x a week (initially) some weekend and holiday work required
  • Hours may increase based on business needs, particularly during the holiday or peak seasons
  • We offer paid sick leave, paid training, and retirement benefits
  • A gas subsidy is provided to support transportation expenses
