Are you passionate about dance, love working with kids and want to make great money doing both? Musical Minds Academy is excited to offer dance instructor positions in the Riverside area for those looking to inspire young minds through movement!

Responsibilities:

• Leading beginner Hip Hop and contemporary classes for elementary/middle school-aged students at various public, charter and independent schools in the Riverside area.
• Planning classes by assessing the needs of the school(s) and students you are assigned.
• Implementing fun and creative activities in order to make learning enjoyable for the students.
• Organizing a performance showcase at the end of a session or semester.

Experience:

• Previous experience teaching kids of different ages and abilities in a group or private setting (2 years preferred)
• Proficiency in a style of dance, preferably Hip-Hop. However, we encourage all of our teachers to pull from all of their dance experience when applicable. Such as; Jazz, Contemporary, etc.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or learning differences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Availability for daytime-afternoon classes on weekdays.
• Participation in training sessions and staff meetings.
• Consistent communication through email, text, and phone.
• Successful completion of a Livescan DOJ background check and TB test.

Compensation: $50-$70/hour for teaching hours. Training sessions and other non- instructional responsibilities will be paid at $25/hour.

Schedule: At least (3) hours/week of availability required.

Note: This job requires the selected candidate to undergo a LiveScan DOJ fingerprint background check, as well as submission of a Tuberculosis Test. Experience in special education, childhood development, preschool, early childhood education, behavior management, tutoring, or classroom management is a plus, but not required.
