Develop and implement a comprehensive first year student experience program by collaborating and leading a team with faculty, staff, and administrators across various departments (academic affairs, student success,
counseling and advising).
Collaborate with College Success Center staff to plan, coordinate, and deliver in person and virtual events, workshops, and orientation activities that promote student engagement, belonging, and academic achievement.
Collaborate with Tutoring Services Manager to select, train, and supervise peer mentors or student orientation leaders.
Collaborate with the Testing Center, faculty, and academic advisors to help students determine appropriate math and English placement and connect students with appropriate academic resources.
Develop and maintain orientation and other first-year experience program resources, including informational materials, websites , and social media.
Advocate for the needs and challenges faced by first-year students and ensure that their voices are heard in the college community.
Proactively introduce behaviors and resources that support successful enrollment, completion of the first semester, and re-enrollment for the second semester.
Maintain accurate records and update student information to document participation in first-year experience offerings, including orientation.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate program outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders.
