MVE Biological Solutions is Hiring an Engineering Intern-USA Near Prague, MN

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include But Are Not Limited To)

  • Partner with the Product Engineering group to ensure that all aspects of new product introduction and changes to existing products are properly communicated to stakeholders, including production personnel
  • Conduct validation tests for components, process, and/or products following established protocols
  • Conduct routine investigation tests to address engineering, quality and/or manufacturing issues
  • Design and draw, in SolidWorks, machine tools and fixtures to be used in the production process
  • Assist in routine design updates to legacy product including documentation and data collection
  • Conduct and supervise studies to determine the cause, effect, and corrective actions required to remedy product quality deviations
  • Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance departments and apply formal problem solving tools (e.g. 5 Why’s, 8D, Ishikawa diagram) to resolve assembly errors and eliminate variances
  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Must possess a working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, and SolidWorks
  • Understanding of MIG/TIG welding practices, sheet metal fabrication, and vacuum systems, a plus
  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing, including working knowledge of industry-specific regulatory policies (e.g. ISO 13485, MDR 2017/745), a plus
  • Familiarity with principles of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and cryogenics, a plus
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control, a plus

Qualifications And Education Requirements

Enrollment in a 4-year BS degree program in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial
