Job Description:
The (on-site) Windows and Azure Administrator's role is pivotal in optimizing Windows servers and Azure components to achieve high availability and performance for various business applications. This includes designing, installing, configuring, and administering Windows operating systems and Azure services across the organization efficiently. Key measures of success include:

This position is based in Las Cruces, NM and candidates must live within 25 miles of Las Cruces, NM. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity. Azure experience is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements for all Server environments throughout the organization, including Azure infrastructure.
  • Participate in the design and review of new Windows systems and Azure application deployments in both workstations and servers.
  • Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Windows and Azure systems to meet corporate objectives.
  • Develop new system scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability, including scripts for Azure automation.
  • Support product development teams throughout project lifecycles, integrating Azure services as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems for enterprise data servers, including Azure resources, and support the helpdesk team with end-user desktop PCs.
  • Ensure that Windows-based workstations and servers, as well as Azure resources, comply with established policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines.
  • Define and perform system backups and recovery procedures to ensure full data retrieval, including Azure backup solutions.
  • Monitor and test system performance, provide statistics and reports, and implement strategies for integrating Windows and Azure environments.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to Windows and Azure systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure the security of Windows and Azure systems.
  • Conduct research on Windows and Azure-related hardware and software to support procurement and system development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Windows and Azure training materials and systems documentation for new IT staff.
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team, and travel to sites when required for system maintenance.
  • Be available after hours when necessary and ensure punctuality.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering Windows servers in enterprise environments, including experience with Windows Server 2016/2019.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.Knowledge with operating systems and programs - Microsoft
  • MacOS and Linux.
  • Acquainted with the notion of computer coding and programming.
  • Windows certification(s) preferred.
