Full time matrixed position (shared responsibilities with Marketing and Sales teams; generally 75/25% but also dependent on the seasonal demands of both departments)

This position is ideal for a junior marketing/comms team member who has strong project management skills in addition to marketing/comms skills.

Responsibilities
For marketing/communications responsibilities, this position reports to the Director of Marketing overall with day-to-day guidance onsite from senior leadership. For sales project management responsibilities, the position will be reporting to the VP of Business Development.
Part of a growing marketing team, the marketing role will contribute to major marketing initiatives including:
· Assisting marketing team with collateral development and production, managing external resources such as designers, and managing creative assets such as production files and visual assets
· Assist marketing team in handling all preparations for annual trade shows, including developing show plan and schedule, ordering literature and giveaways, handling exhibitor services, booth properties development and logistics
· Assisting marketing team with social media efforts, including creating and posting content and graphics
· Assisting marketing team with website updates and content creation
· Assisting sales and marketing team in organizing and managing annual training activities, including developing agendas, invitations, email campaigns, event logistics, attendee materials, hospitality aspects
· Assisting marketing team with media relations and outreach, including developing speaker proposals, award submittals, editorial content, news announcements, backgrounders, case studies and testimonials
· Performing other duties as assigned
As part of the sales support team, the customer support duties will include:
Purchase Order Management:
· Review and verify customer orders for accuracy, including product specifications, pricing, and delivery details.
· Enter order data into the company’s computer system, ensuring all information is accurate and complete for processing.
· Coordinate with inventory management to check product availability, and if necessary, communicate any stock issues or delays to customers.
· Generate invoices and shipping documents, such as packing slips and labels, to prepare orders for dispatch. Insure invoicing is as instructed
· Liaise with shipping and logistics departments to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner.
· Process returns and exchanges, including updating inventory records and issuing refunds or credits according to company policies.
· Coordinate with 3rd party commissioning agents for work orders, invoicing, and timely payment.
· Handle customer inquiries related to their orders, providing updates on order status, shipping information, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
· Perform end-of-day reconciliation tasks, including verifying that all orders have been correctly processed and addressing any discrepancies.
Qualifications
· Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, One Drive); social media tools such as Hootsuite or Loomly; project management systems; email marketing platforms.
· Excellent grasp of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
· Experience in highly collaborative teams with strong relationship development skills for teaming with product management, engineering, and sales
Education:
Degree in marketing or related subject preferred; 3-5 years of experience working in marketing/comms with private B2B manufacturing sector strongly preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
