Position Summary:
Mountain West Industrial is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with project managers and the operations team to support our industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and project-specific financials.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and project expense reports.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Mountain West Industrial’s policies and relevant regulations.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing detailed financial reports to management.
- Process invoices, track payments, and manage vendor and subcontractor accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparing and filing quarterly and annual tax reports.
- Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with project managers to align financial activities with project timelines and goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the industrial, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including job costing and project-based financial management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
