Your Opportunity:

This position is a full-time, in person position reporting to Chief Compliance Officer. As a Digital Investigations Specialist, you will play a critical role in our compliance and security team, focusing on investigating and analyzing the digital aspects of our customers to ensure the security and integrity of MyBambu products and services. This position involves conducting forensic examinations, identifying potential security breaches, and working closely with other departments to mitigate risks and enhance our cybersecurity protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Forensic Analysis: Perform forensic analysis on digital devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.) to identify potential security breaches, data leaks, and unauthorized access.
• Incident Response: Respond to security incidents involving digital devices, conducting thorough investigations, and documenting findings.
• Compliance: Ensure all investigations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on investigative findings, including evidence collection, analysis results, and recommended actions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with MyBambu departments to coordinate responses to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in digital forensics and cybersecurity to continuously improve investigation techniques and protocols.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on digital security best practices and incident response procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of digital forensics software and tools (e.g., Datavisor, ThreatMetrix). Understanding of various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems related to digital devices and cybersecurity incidents.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in conducting investigations and preparing reports.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions that support investigations.
• Communication: Effective communication skills to clearly present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple investigations and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the rapidly evolving field of digital forensics.
• Ethical Judgment: Strong sense of ethics and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
• Time Management: Efficient time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Job Requirements:

• Bilingual - (English & Spanish), preferred.

• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Preferred but not required, bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in fraud, financial compliance, digital forensics, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Preferred but not required, relevant certifications such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE).

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
