Your Opportunity:

This position is a full-time, in person position reporting to the Marketing and Operations Director. As the Middleware Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining middleware solutions that facilitate seamless communication and integration between different systems and applications within our MyBambu environment. You will play a critical role in optimizing system performance, ensuring scalability, and enhancing data flow across the MyBambu app.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement middleware solutions to facilitate communication and integration between diverse systems, services, and applications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand system requirements, integration needs, and data exchange protocols.
  • Build and maintain APIs, message queues, and data transformation processes to enable real-time data exchange and processing.
  • Optimize middleware components for performance, reliability, and scalability to support high-volume transactions and data flows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware functionality, connectivity, and data consistency in a timely manner.
    Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices in middleware development and integration.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for middleware solutions and integrations.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in middleware development, fintech, and financial services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in middleware technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or similar messaging and queuing systems.
  • Experience with API development and integration using RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other web services protocols.
  • Knowledge of ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) concepts, patterns, and frameworks like MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or WSO2.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing middleware solutions.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration for scalable deployments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Node.js for middleware development and customization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual - (English & Spanish), preferred.
  • Three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant experience in middleware development, integration, and related technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Middleware Developer, Integration Engineer, or similar role in the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Understanding of data security standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices in middleware development and integration.
  • Ability to document technical designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for middleware solutions and integrations.
  • Extensive Python Experience, We use Django Framework.
  • Experience with Cloud based platforms, AWS preferred
  • Experience using Elastic Search, Celery, Postgresql, preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex issues on middleware-based systems
  • Experience in unix scripting, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
