Job Details

A Glenview family is seeking a reliable and organized part-time House Manager to join their household. They are a busy family with an energetic and entertaining 9-month-old son, and require assistance in managing their home efficiently alongside a stay-at-home mom who will be present every day. This position will report to the mother, who is friendly & highly organized - attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to self-prioritize is required in the House Manager for this role. This role will function as a mother’s helper or a family assistant, especially when the Father travels for work. This is an ideal role for a former nanny or a house manager with a background in childcare, especially if they are interested in picking up childcare hours over the weekend or on an as-needed basis.

A typical day for their House Manager would involve arriving at their home and working on the list of tasks for the week. Daily tasks may include tidying up, basic meal prep, running, errands, while seasonal tasks could involve household organization and scheduling and coordinating other household staff.

Additional Information:

We currently employ regular landscaping and housekeeping staff, father works from home generally one day a week, no deep cleaning is required. The family values and recognizes high-performing employees and compensates accordingly, often through bonuses.

Requirements:

• Intent to make a long-term commitment to a role
• Candidate should drive and have a safe driving record. Candidate must have their own vehicle. Parking is available. Family will reimburse for mileage at the IRS rate.
• Candidate must also meet the following requirements to apply: 21 , minimum of a high-school diploma, valid driver's license, ability to pass a criminal background check, legally authorized to work in the US, and have a relevant job history with outstanding references.
