Role: Azure Devops Admin / Architect
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 6 months C2H
End-Client: Comcast -xFinityThe role will own the day to management of their consumer-facing website which is a Sitecore instance serving more than 1BN calls per month. In this context, a tenant is an application or grouping of applications to serve a business purpose of the Sales and Marketing technology stack. Examples include applications that allow consumers to learn about their services, purchase their services, and ongoing management of their accounts.
The current Sitecore application is hosted across 4 subscriptions, 2 of which host a couple of "tenants” in Sitecore 9, and the majority of the application serves more than 20 tenants utilizing Sitecore 10. The Azure subscriptions also host some tenant frontend applications that require minimal management. The application infrastructure has recently been rearchitected, but the client is always open to making improvements.
The application infrastructure connects to the internet via an Akamai instance that is managed in another team. Akamai connects to the application network via Azure Front Door services.

Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance of the application network, including owning all Azure analytics and responding to any issues that are not meeting service level agreements
- Working with the application and network (Akamai) teams to make any reactive and proactive improvements to improve the health of the application network.
- Ongoing review of best practices and proposing, designing and implementing any improvements to the application network
- Interface with tenant teams to identify and remediate issues with the application network.
- Identify the need and implement the update of services as required, including taking services out of rotation and real-time management of DDOS services
- 5-7 Years of Azure experience, ideally in a fast-paced consume r focused organization, supporting a high-volume website
- A good understanding of App Insights Insights, Azure Monitor, and (NN to Advise)
- Ideally an understanding of how an application network for a high-traffic website interfaces with technologies like a CDN. Akamai knowledge and experience are a plus
- A good understanding of Web Analytics and Azure Analytics
- A very inquisitive mindset that can identify a loose thread, in a data set before a problem unravels
- A proactive nature and the confidence to act on their own initiative
- An ability to prioritize and focus on what moves the needle and the confidence to escalate where needed
- An ability to question ambiguity and weed out what are all the important items that need to be prioritized
- A strong, proactive communicator, both verbal and written
