My Lucky Dog is looking to hire for the position of Dog Handler in our North Providence location! Part-time and full-time positions are available. Experience is welcomed, but we are willing to train the right candidate for this position! We are looking for a self-motivated, hard-working person that is eager to learn about dog behavior. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Weekend and holiday hours are occasionally required.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supervise Playrooms:

• Maintains control of a group of open play dogs in the playroom
• Continuously on their feet showing the dogs attention and care
• Behavioral issues are addressed proactively in a timely and effective manner.
• Aware of the environment at all times and consistently attends to the special needs of dogs.

Cleaning:

• Continually monitor the playroom to keep it free of messes by immediate and continual spot cleaning throughout the shift
• Daily cleaning assignments which may include, but is not limited to vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash, as well as scrubbing of walls, kennels, crates, floors, and beds
• Cleaning procedures involve the proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment Health and Care
• Understand and follow, without exception, feeding and medication instructions
• Watch the dogs for any unusual behaviors or symptoms and recognize what is out of character for any guest in our care.

Front Desk & Customer Service:

• Answering phones, scheduling daycare, boarding, and grooming, and providing help with any general inquiries
• Being familiar with our software to ensure smooth check-in, checkout, and scheduling for all customers
• Providing our customers (both human and dog!) with exceptional customer service
