Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Primary Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient-centered service. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of health conditions, as well as promoting preventive care and health education.
The Primary Care Physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and oversee multiple mid-level providers, including Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate medical records, staying updated with the latest medical advancements, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering integrated healthcare services, contributing to the overall well-being of our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:Demonstrates overall medical knowledge essential to Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Physician role.
Demonstrates clinical competence in delivery of patient care, including appropriate referrals, admissions, prescriptions, and ancillary ordering.
Knows appropriate health care maintenance and acute care protocols for all patient age groups.
Demonstrates written and verbal skills essential to Primary Care Physician role. Has general patient acceptance and rapport.
Documents information in patient care record in acceptable, legible format with reasonable completeness.
Manages patient care in collaboration with other professional members of the team, consults appropriately, and supervises mid-levels as needed.
Knowledge of Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR/EHR)- Allscripts is preferred.
Assumes and consistently maintains professional responsibility in role of the Primary Care Physician.
Develops and maintains a good working relationship with staff members from all departments.
Maintains accountability for continued enhancement of knowledge.
Meets regularly with peers for review.
Maintains licensure and required number of CEUs.
Attends programs appropriate to practice area.
Safeguards patients' rights to privacy.
Respects patient choices regarding health care.
Incorporates patients' social and cultural backgrounds into delivery of health care.
Participates in staff-oriented activities, (i.e. staff and site meetings, sub-committees).
Maintains an acceptable level of productivity.
Requirements:Medical Degree from an accredited University. Board Certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is also required.
Licensed to practice Medicine in Michigan, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and Credentialed at Metro Detroit affiliated hospitals.
1-3 years experience in primary care group practice and/or internal medicine and pediatrics highly preferred
Employment Type/Compensation:Full-time, Typically Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
