What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at MYCON General Contractors Inc?
Essential Functions:
- Manage financial reporting staff (senior and staff accountants)
- Manage all accounting functions including, AR, AP, general ledger, job cost reporting, sales tax, cash management and payroll management
- Coordinate month-end close with Controller
- Produce periodic financial statements and supplemental schedules in accordance with company policies.
- Review and analyze budgets, commitments, costs, and financial projections to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Responsible for upholding proper internal controls for the company
- Work directly with operational project teams as directed by the Controller to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Manage year-end audit process along with Controller
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

- Strong accounting technical skills including the ability to prepare accurate financial reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creative and innovative, organized and detail-oriented
- Advanced experience with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
