Inventory Control / Operation Manager

Myers Supply a leader in facility supply solutions is seeking a highly organized and motivated person to manage counter sales, inventory control and warehouse operations at our Hot Spring, AR location. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

Managerial

• Supervise warehouse, drivers and counter sales staff
• Key Holder responsible for opening and closing of the store
• Properly train counter staff on products
• Manage work schedules and coverage during vacations
• Evaluate staff every six months.

Check Sales Orders

• Select orders for delivery
• Double check orders prior to loading to reduce pulling errors
• Pull and pack orders for shipment by common carriers
• Ensure all shipments comply with USDOT or other applicable agency requirements

Driver Activities

• Utilize driver’s non-delivery time for stocking, cleaning, and maintenance
• Approve time off for drivers
• Recommend hiring, firing, and salary increases to management
• Train drivers to here to established procedures

Bin Locations

• Maintain bin labels on shelves and in system
• Evaluate space allotment, and adjust bin locations as necessary

Inventory Counts

• Perform cycle counts on a weekly schedule, and report discrepancies to management
• Count and adjust known discrepancies, and report discrepancies to management

Receiving

• Verify counts on truck deliveries, parcel deliveries, and transfers
• Accurately enter receiving into system
• Note and report damages to management and vendors

Assist Counter Sales

• Be aware of Customers needing assistance, and provide assistance
• Be aware of staffing level at front counter, and assist when needed
• Help pull pick-up orders for counter personnel when needed

Contact Customers

• Schedule special delivery orders with customers
• Maintain special delivery instructions in system

Customer Equipment Repairs

• Schedule equipment repairs, order parts, and interact with customers and vendors concerning equipment repairs

Safety

• Regularly check and maintain fire extinguishers, and evacuation plan
• Ensure all equipment, including vehicles, are maintained in a manner, which will prevent accident

Facility Repairs

• Report all needed repairs to facility or equipment to management

Security

• Ensure warehouses are locked, lights out, and building and vehicles secure before leaving premises

The ideal candidate would:

• Have good customer service skills
• Have strong verbal & written communication skills
• Work well with others
• Have good computer skills
• Be punctual & dependable
• Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Have a minimum of 4-year work experience in a similar position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
