The Work You Will Do:

This position works with the Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR) Rebuild Florida. Performs regular monitoring/audits of disaster recovery programs, procedures, policies, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk. The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgment in identification and development of resources, tools, and process improvements. The position coordinates work assignments for OPS employees, advocating for program activities; serving as a participant for team assignments, process improvements, and special projects.

Pay: $48,140.46 - $50,547.60 annually

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is an advocate for Compliance unit activities; serves as a participant for team assignments, process improvements, and special projects; fosters teamwork; and participates in the identification of program and process improvements.

Assist in the development of unit goals and objectives, identifying resources, interpreting statutes and rules, and providing technical and administrative assistance. Participate, as needed, in the development and revision of compliance-related policies and procedures.

Perform regular monitoring of disaster recovery and mitigation programs, procedures, policies, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.

Review contract and subrecipient agreement deliverables to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

Provides consultative services and technical assistance to Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR) staff on issues related to compliance and monitoring.

Conduct desktop and onsite monitoring on activities and expenditures of assigned projects to ensure compliance with state guidelines and contract requirements.

Maintain good working relationships and keep in close coordination with partnering agencies.

Prepare reports and analyses and make recommendations to team to determine program action.

Review external best practices to ensure a high level of program execution and make recommendations to management if changes are needed.

Assist team on special projects as needed.

Provide technical assistance to all OLTR program areas and OLTR Contract Analyst staff members.

Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Team lead worker:

A ssist the Compliance Manager and act as lead for unit staff in all aspects of the unit's overall objectives.

Act as proxy for the Compliance Manager when necessary.

Archive and maintain historical monitoring data from reports.

Oversight of coordination with Constituent Services Manager regarding complaints received.

Day to day work with monitoring consultants.

Review the OLTR website for compliance with federal regulations.

Ability to demonstrate flexibility and accountability.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationship.

Ability to maintain relationships with partnering agencies.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong critical thinking skills.

Ability to learn and apply policy to specific circumstances.

Provide administrative and clerical support on project-related activities.

Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Ability to conduct research and provide reports and analyses as required.

Some overnight travel is required.

Qualifications:
