The RoleThe Avionics Technician will be part of the development team developing Project Kuiper's electronics systems. Successful candidates will have strong experience in technology development, and manufacturing of electronics and mechatronics systems. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Redmond, WA, USA Basic Qualifications
3 years of experience PCBA bring up and electrical diagnostics for aerospace, consumer, automotive, or networking infrastructure
Experience with PCBA rework including fine, hand soldering of electronic components, following schematics, PCBA staking/conformal coat application
Experience managing external partners for PCB manufacturing
Experience with common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, etc.)
Experience with PCBA inspection and failure analysis
Experience maintaining an electronics lab and sourcing lab supplies/components
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in related field or IPC certification
Excellent communication skills
Proven track record of delivering results on time
Experience in development of space based systems
Experience working in aerospace manufacturing and hardware development

The base pay for this position ranges from $65,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,200/year in our highest geographic market.
