What You Can Expect
- The freedom to improve and streamline the month end process and internal financial reporting deliverables, always ensuring we meet local and group reporting requirements
- Maintain the financial reporting control environment in accordance with SOX requirements
- Support the management accounts process by identifying errors, extracting insights, and conducting thorough variance analysis to achieve an exec/board-ready standard.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, implement process improvements, and mentor junior team members to enhance their reconciliations.
- Drive clarity and insights on the balance sheet through in-depth analysis, presenting regular review decks for the Group Financial Controller to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Finance Systems team to identify and implement process improvements, better utilising Workday in areas including but not limited to: statutory accounts process, fixed asset depreciation schedule, IFRS 16 lease schedule, accruals, payroll journals etc
- Liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance requirements are met
- High quality and efficient preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Lead and support on finance transformation and ad-hoc projects, to support the global finance tribe
- Develop and mentor junior members across the Reporting & Accounting team
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with colleagues across finance globally
- A professional accounting qualification
- Experience of working in Big 4 and/or multinational experience
- Demonstrated progression in prior roles with increasing responsibility, showcasing accountability and ownership of tasks
- Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous
- Experience in working within a SOX control environment and driving process improvements

- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures in a dynamic international setting
- Previous experience with Workday Financials is helpful
