R & D/Reliability Lab Supervisor
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute routine tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results. The work model for the role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: ⢠Supporting in the planning and implementation of test plans. ⢠Coordinating maintenance activities related to the equipment and tools used in the laboratory. ⢠Identifying and suggesting solutions related to product non-conformities. ⢠Assisting external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB or external customer products. Qualifications For The Role
- Associate degree in Industrial technology, Engineering Technology or related technical degree with minimum 4 years of experience in the area of industrial controls, motors, drives or other electromechanical machinery OR Bachelor degree with 2 years related experience.
- Knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, multi-meters, dynamometers, thermocouples, accelerometers, environmental chambers, IR cameras, calibrators, etc.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledgeable in AC, DC, BLDC and servo motors and drives.
- Knowledge of analog and digital data acquisition and signal conditioning, GPIB communication and networking.
- Drives knowledge/experience
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
