About The RoleOur colleagues across the firm must be open to and engage with new ways of working and new technology. Legal tech involves exploring and applying technology tools to improve how legal services are delivered. This team was formed to our support lawyers across CMS, helping them embrace and embed legal tech into their ways of working with their teams and their clients.
We are the subject matter experts on a range of legal tech tools and we support the use of them across the firm, from advising on the use of technology for an upcoming project, to delivering training sessions, providing demos of the platforms and responding to specific user queries. This is an expanding area of the industry, as well as a key pillar of the CMS brand and strategy, with opportunities to expand and develop.
This role will give you the opportunity to become a subject matter expert on a range of legal tech tools to support their operational use across the firm (training will be provided). This will also include administrative tasks, ensuring data is collated from the use of the tools, creation of reports and supporting a user query inbox. You'll be the first point of contact for users so it's important to create a good impression and be responsive and engaged.
Responsibilities Will IncludeMonitoring the team mailbox and being the first point of contact for queries
Assisting users to resolve queries, escalating to others in the team where required
Providing admin support for the Product Managers
Regular user and project archiving
Configuring basic client sites/projects
Becoming a subject matter expert on all of the tools managed by our team (we use software such as HighQ, AI platforms & Litera Transact)Monitoring usage of software and assisting in analysing data captured by various solutions, including monthly reporting
Helping to support with the upskilling of both internal and external clients to ensure they experience the value and benefits of technology
About YouA keen interest in technology would be a plus especially within the legal sphere, however not expressly needed. More importantly, we're looking for someone to join our team who has a curiosity and desire to learn how processes work and fit together. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to start their career within the alternative legal service space, as well as those who have experience but want to work in a more embedded team.
