Shift: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-6:00pm
Pay: $20.00/Hr.
Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance in an open warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Assist with the supervision and direction of contractors and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities. Performs and/or directs the performance of assigned maintenance service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience
- Strong working knowledge of chillers, building automation systems, cooling towers, HVAC systems to include pneumatics, VAV, heating
- Working knowledge of life safety systems to include generator, fire systems to include fire panel, sprinklers, audio and visual devices
- Working knowledge of security access systems and camera systems
- Performs building and equipment maintenance and repairs
- Assist the Chief Engineer and other building team members in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment as needed
- Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
- HVAC, plumbing & electrical repairs
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
- Performs predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and equipment rounds and service requests as directed
- Respond and perform emergency repairs or preventative maintenance off hours as directed on nights and weekends
- Performs all duties in a safe manner, comply with all safety procedures and maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with established work standards and practices
- Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Participate in the annual JLL Engineering Operations Compliance Program (OCP), working to achieve an agreed upon a passing score as determined by the General Manager
- Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system
- Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Operating Engineer role
- Provide on-call response as required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of an applicable technical training program, desirable.
- Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, and basic plumbing and electrical.
- Excellent communication skills in English - both oral and written.
- Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
- Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.
- Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.
- Climbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
