Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the factory Maintenance team in the planning and implementation of initiatives that maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness, and/or efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production lines, and/or facilities. Each day, you will develop and implement equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing costs and profitability. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance. The work model for the role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • Supporting Production and Engineering departments to manage and guarantee tools on-time availability to ensure continuous production and increase our Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). • Managing Kronos and other HR related tasks to support our employees. • Setting department objectives, supporting plant KPIs and reviewing ongoing performance and providing root cause analysis to improve tooling performance. • Maintaining tool room equipment (Grinders, EDMs, Lathes, Mills) in operating conditions and providing immediate repair. • Oversee other production areas Our team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications For The Role
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial / mechanical engineering or equivalent experience PLUS 3 years of experience in Progressive Stamping Operation experience (Carbide Lamination Dies) preferred.
  • Experience managing tool makers and tool room equipment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, SAP experience preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
