Why Lloyds Banking Group? The products we offer at Lloyds Banking Group are used every day by millions of people! They form part of everyday life for our customers and as a Product Owner, you’ll be the face and advocate of our customers internally. You're a crucial part of the business and your decisions will influence and drive the future of products. We're shifting away from project-orientated work and are instead focusing on product-orientated work.
What You’ll NeedWe’re not looking for you to know all the answers. We need people that thrive with being given a problem and finding a solution. Those who are comfortable when they need to say no; who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo and push back on partners who may be more senior.
There are some things we're looking for in you though:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of market dynamics, technology, and customer needs. A passion for products and staying on top of new technologies will be very useful. You should have the ability to analyse user stories and identify improvements for the customer journey.
  • Ability to implement development frameworks and provide coaching and mentorship to team members. This includes guiding and supporting others in their professional growth within the organisation.
  • It’s crucial that you're comfortable influencing, challenging and can articulate the product vision, provide updates, and address any concerns or inquiries across technical and business teams, and collaborators.
  • Strategic problem solver, enabling you to chip in to the vision and roadmap, as well as making informed decisions that align with our goals.
  • Strong analytical skills to assemble and interpret data related to product performance and benefits realisation. This includes tracking key metrics and using data-driven insights to drive product improvements.
  • Efficiently prioritise tasks based on customer needs and business goals. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and will be able to handle ambiguity, adapt to new challenges, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks. Experience in a Financial Services industry would be helpful, but not crucial.
