We are hiring an experienced Program Manager who will lead annotation program and support a team of Catalog Specialists to contribute to the development and enhancement of machine learning models. In this role, you will support the catalog specialists associates and will be responsible for the process development, annotation model performance, and engagement. The role expects your team to be your exclusive focus and you will be tasked with supporting your team and removing any barriers that prevent them from delivering high-quality annotated datasets that will train and improve models. You will work closely with our product, technology and science teams to support new Machine Learning (ML) models and data science classification algorithm development-all helping to delight our customers through new experiences throughout their Amazon shopping journey. The ideal Program Manager understands that supporting their team is the most critical role they perform for smooth delivery of annotations. To achieve this, they are open and approachable, engage with their people individually to understand how to most effectively coach and motivate them and invest time in developing their people to become legends! They build a work environment where the team is engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in delivering world class service. As a leader, you will be an expert in articulating the Amazon mission and deeply understand the expectations of the annotations we expected the team to deliver; you will ensure your people understand the important role they play and how their role supports the Amazon virtuous cycle. Key job responsibilities
Process / Program Management (leadership, stakeholder management, team management)
Formulate, Implement, track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the team
Metrics Management through regular reviews and delivering specific metric goals against targets
Mentor and guide Catalog Specialists to manage their performance metrics (productivity, quality, improve process efficiency, conceptualize, design and deliver trainings to the team)
Manage the team and ensure high service delivery and execution
Work closely with our product, technology, and science teams to support Machine Learning (ML) models
Support data scientists in the development of classification algorithms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data annotation tasks align with project objectives and timelines
Maintain high-quality standards for annotated data to optimize model performance
Continuously evaluate and improve annotation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Strong analytical skills and the ability to deep-dive on complex problems
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills

2 years of program or project management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2 years of Data Analytics or annotations experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
Experience in MS Access and SQL
Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market.
