As a Project Manager, you will oversee technology projects in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will be a key team member working closely with clinicians and business leaders to support MU Healthcare's strategic initiatives. This position directly supports the Health System Project Management Office.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.

The role will generally accept applications for at least three calendar days from the posting date or as long as the job remains posted.
Basic Responsibilities
  • Support the MU Health Services Project Management Office
  • Developing project charters, timelines, communication plans, issue lists, and risk registers
  • Driving project milestones through implementation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, resources, costs, and timelines
  • Managing vendors, demos, and project requirements through assessment, selection, and contracting
  • Tracking tasks, ensuring accountability, monitoring risks, and escalating issues as needed
  • Prioritizing across projects, tasks, and work assignments to ensure continuous progress
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of combined relevant work experience and higher education, including:
  • At least 1 year of project/program management experience
  • An additional 2 years of work experience related to the job duties and/or completed higher education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Experience with PPM tools or similar toolsets
Expectations
  • Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Adherence to corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
  • Understanding of your role in safeguarding corporate and client assets
  • Taking appropriate actions to prevent and report any security compromises within the scope of your position
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willingness to travel in the local MU Healthcare service area
