The Project Manager or Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the development process for assigned projects as part of the Chick-fil-A Strategic Reinvestment/CPS Program. This includes remodels and/or new construction of both Free Standing units and In-Line units. The person in this role works closely with Real Estate, Legal, Operator, and CFA Program Leads, as well as outside professionals and vendors. Responsibilities
Work closely with CFA Real Estate and Design staff to provide input during the development phase of each assigned project
Manage/lead outsource partners, surveyors, sign vendors and geotechnical/environmental partners in conducting due diligence on proposed reinvestment projects
Manage/lead civil engineers, architects, sign vendors, traffic consultants, land use attorneys, etc. through the project approvals process
Collaborate with CFA Program Leads and development team to value engineer site plans and to develop project cost estimates to aid in decision making
Represent CFA at public hearings as part of the project approval process
Review plans and status with Operators throughout the development process
Provide and maintain schedule projections for construction readiness through all stages of the development process
Manage/lead project transition to Construction SPM
Review and recommend approval of contracts and purchase orders 40-50%
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualify and approve project related invoices
Minimum Qualifications
Four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or B.B.A. with major in Real Estate or related degree
7-12 years project management responsibilities in a similar or related retail construction business
Strong track record of leadership and inspiring others to accomplish missions
Ability to represent CFA at public hearings
Ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate project costs
Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering documents
Desire to recognize and take initiative
Self-motivated to constantly and continuously improve
