Your Role:

• Lead multiple tax advisory projects for lower middle market businesses on both the buy and sell sides.
• Collaborate closely with clients, target companies, investment bankers, and due diligence and tax teams.
• Support tax due diligence, structure acquisitions and dispositions, evaluate basis step-up elections, analyze purchase price allocation, and review purchase agreements.
• Perform detailed quantitative analyses to determine tax impacts of transactions.
• Manage engagements efficiently, ensuring timely completion.
• Create and review thorough tax due diligence reports.
• Identify factors that could affect purchase price, deal structure, or deal viability.
• Tax compliance tasks, such as reviewing acquisition-year tax returns and performing purchase price allocations.

About You:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in taxation.
• CPA preferred or eligible
• 4-7 years of experience in corporate and partnership taxation, preferably with a focus on tax transaction advisory.
• Understanding of C Corporation, S Corporation, and partnership tax issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, along with excellent presentation skills.
