This Software development position with Amazon Prime Video and Studios tech is a fit for someone who enjoys and thrives owning low latency, highly available stacks/services requiring strong problem-solving skills, has a solid computer science foundation, experience of backend design patterns, APIs and takes pride in operations excellence.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and build innovative products in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- Design and code the right solutions by working on the following:
- Front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript
- JavaScript frameworks such as react and node.
- CDK for AWS offerings such as AVP, DynamoDB, Aurora, Open Search, ECS, NLB, Fargate, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, Eventbridge, Cloudwatch etc.
- Transcoding and proxy services like AWS Media Convert.
- DRM and forensic watermarking integrations.
- Design (design patterns, reliability and scaling) and maintenance of new and existing systems.
- Scalable backend services and APIs using Java, Nodejs, Python.

Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Prior experience in the Media and Entertainment domain.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
