DescriptionThe Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon's fulfillment supply chain. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns). The Payment and Contact team, within DP&R, owns the system technology, tools, and policies that balance FBA selling partner inventory and financial accounts when exceptions occur during Amazon's Fulfillment process. This includes ownership of financial policy and the technology that goes into conducting reimbursement financial transactions as well as developing features that improve the accuracy of our systems and the experience of our selling partners.
As a PMT on the Payment and Contact team, you are responsible for improving seller experience and reduce unnecessary seller contacts. You are the subject matter expert in the Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) seller supply chain, develop ways to identify seller pain-points and help build innovative solutions to eliminate them. You create the long term vision for the space, partner with and influence key stakeholders to increase seller satisfaction.
Independent and flexible with strong communication skills, the successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and experience in data analysis and program management. Keys to success include team leadership experience, a strong motivation to dive deep into root causes and improve processes. Experience working in a cross-functional capacity as well as a proven track record of delivering operational excellence are important qualifications.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
- 5 years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- MBA
- 5 years of driving process improvements experience
- Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
- SQL and Data Analysis experience.
- Experience using analytical tools to solve business problems
- Experience juggling multiple priorities and making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
- Excellent Verbal and written communications skills
- Experience building relationships and working effectively across internal and external organizations
- Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
