**Description**

**SUMMARY**

Provide analytical support to Transportation personnel in the development of periodic forecast, variance analysis and reporting, development and analysis of performance metrics for Armadas transportation network for all transportation modes. Perform analysis with key operating systems including Mercury Gate and SpotFire to identify trends and opportunities for cost and service performance improvement.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Provide analysis to support the development of effective business plans for Armadas transportation business (all modes) to insure accomplishment of annual goals

* Provide analysis (all modes) of day-to-day operations/procurement business activity including:

* Service analysis to identify performance trends that impact carrier results

* Analysis of industry trends, competitor activity and overall pricing effectiveness (Chainalytics, DAT, FTR, etc.)

* Ongoing margin improvement and related activity

* Updates of pricing, transit and shipment visibility information systems

* Monthly reporting and analysis to summarize performance trends

* Provide analytical support for activities related to developing and/or implementing new business including:

* Proposal development support relative to Armada bid events

* Development of formal presentations and support of vendor, distributor and carrier meetings

* Provide analysis of carrier performance scorecards to assure desired capacity, service and cost goals are in line

* E-commerce collaboration to ensure objectives are met for all modes

* Carrier on-boarding and contract maintenance

* Carrier contract, contract amendment and/or contract maintenance activity

* Other responsibilities as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience Requirement**

Minimum:

* Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain

Preferred:

* 3-5 years experience in Transportation Analysis

**Language and Technical Skills requirement**

* MS Office (advanced functionality to include pivot tables, v-lookups, multi-axis charts, etc.), Outlook, other database applications

* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts

* General understanding of business and transportation terms and concepts

* Uses a broad range of internal and external factors in identifying and solving problems.

* Ability to distill data and find root problems, alternatives, and recommend course of action
