Manufacturing Technician II - Direct Hire Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Automation Technician at our Fenton Facility which manufactures vehicle stability control systems and related components.

This position will be on the afternoon shift (2nd).

Job Description :

• Performs corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a variety of assembly / machining and test equipment consisting of electronics, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, software, hardware and robotics systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on production equipment i.e., cleaning, retooling, oil-changing, calibrating, aligning, etc.

Assists in process design improvement engineering studies involving product throughput, first-run yields, ergonomics, tooling, equipment and manufacturing processes. Education / experience :

Required : High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent and Minimum 3 years related mechanical or electrical experience; or Associates Degree in related field Other skills / abilities Required :

• Manual dexterity Ability to use / operate hand tools and / or power tools, shop equipment lathe, mille, grinder, etc.
• Interpersonal skills Read, understand and perceive relevant technical and non-technical material
• Technical aptitude and strong trouble shooting ability Analytical ability Computer and software literate Preferred :
• Knowledge of PLC / SRC / RS LOGIX, Ladder Logic Knowledge of robotic / vision systems
• Knowledge of process improvement, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance
