The Logistics Coordinator tracks/updates/reports on material information to help the field coordinate the status of projects.

Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.

This is a location-based position, which will travel up to 20% of the time, encompassing work-sites in the assigned project area, covering a 50-mile radius. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for updating project material information and status from client system into internal tracking system
• Monitor client material statuses for projects that need to be released to start work
• Manage long lead material to understand delays
• Provide management with regular updates on scheduling and overall project status
• Help facilitate the development of new process for material management
• Manage material requests/logs with subcontractors
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols
• Assist in updating information for schedule updates weekly
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
• Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience in construction preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience managing material preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Comfort working in Excel/databases with large data sets strongly preferred
• Self-starter who is comfortable in an autonomous environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary $50,000-$75,000 / year
  • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
