The Team: 

At MyVest the QA Engineering team fosters excellence throughout the software development and delivery process. This team is responsible for automated and manual testing of MyVest’s product features. The team is instrumental in the building and delivering of our award winning enterprise products in close collaboration with Engineering Development, Product, Architecture, Operations, and Customer Success.

The Opportunity: 

MyVest is looking for a technical and collaborative QA Director to guide and oversee a team of automation and manual test engineers; responsible for delivering high-quality enterprise software into production. Reporting to the Chief Engineering Officer, this inclusive leader will possess a clear vision of the future of test methodologies and will pursue innovative design-thinking to enhance MyVest products.

Your work will impact the advancement of MyVest products that help secure financial futures of investors and their families. By taking responsibility for the overall QA strategy and mentoring the QA management team, you will be ensuring quality in our software solutions, developing process and automation for testing software, and building relationships with cross-functional teams. You will lead the QA team to new standards of quality in areas of feature development, test automation, continuous integration, and outsource management. The Senior Director will staff, train, and provide technical guidance to manual and test automation developers embedded in scrum teams aligned to product domain areas. 

In terms of management, you will foster entrepreneurship within team members to challenge what’s next, be self-starters, multitask, be dependable, and have clear and concise communication.

• Established leadership of multi-level QA teams testing enterprise software utilizing Enterprise Java / Spring / Spring Boot / Oracle / SQL
• Previous experience leading integrated teams guiding and supporting professional development in complex scrum environments.
• Deep expertise in manual and automated test planning and execution (Jira, Zephyr).
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, define and implement QA methodologies, processes, procedures, systems and schedules that will ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality releases.
• Solid experience in defining and driving testing strategy and planning for complete releases, including regression, functional, performance, and exploratory testing.
• Proven examples of delivering software in a SaaS enterprise product environment in a highly regulated, highly available domain.
• Expertise with at least one test automation framework (Cypress, RestAssured), and fluency in one language used to write tests (Java, Javascript). 
• Extensive knowledge in the design and set-up of test automation frameworks, processes and tools, working collaboratively across functional boundaries.
• Comfort with and team-building methodologies for leading distributed, global, and remote teams.
• Understanding of financial and investment management products preferred.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and pipelines (Jenkins).

• While MyVest is in a hybrid (office and work-from-home) work model, this role is required to be in the office frequently. MyVest will fill this position in the San Francisco Bay Area only.

• Base salary for this role will be between $236,000 to $289,000. Placement in this range depends upon a variety of factors including prior relevant experience and skill set. 
• The range listed above is just one component of MyVest's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation includes an annual bonus, long-term incentives, and program-specific stipends.
