Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in patient service and possess knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures.
Responsibilities: (Prefer English and Spanish bilingual)
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
-Validate and verify dental insurance active status,
-Post insurance information in patient chart
-Educate patient on benefits as needed
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Collect co-payments
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage patient records and update information in the system
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries
- Process billing and insurance claims
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
-light house keeping
-Maintain/follow HIPPA compliance
- Maintain patient records and update medical/dental information as necessary
- Assist with scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Request social media review from patients ( For Example , google reviews, facebook reviews, Yelp reviews and etc)
Present treatment plan to patients and book appointments
Skills:
- Proficiency in dental terminology and medical receptionist duties
- Experience with front desk operations in a dental clinic setting
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dental office systems
- Ability to handle phone systems efficiently
- Familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus
