Director of Strategy and Development

Strategy

• Build school recognition throughout the Jewish community through
• Weekly highlights and quarterly newsletters
• Attend community events
• Work alongside Recruitment Director to ensure marketing for recruitment and larger community are aligned in branding and messaging
• This includes emails, ads, flyers, etc
• Manage social media accounts
• Update/monitor the school website
• Build and manage a volunteer database in collaboration with the office administration
• Alumni relations
• Build out alumni database
• Create opportunities for alumni to engage with the school (either through volunteering, mentoring, class presentation/projects, alumni events, donations, stories, etc.)

Development

• Work alongside the Ways and Means VP on the Day School Board to
• Oversee and run the annual campaign
• Oversee and run 2-3 smaller fundraising opportunities throughout the year with the Parent Association as determined by the board of directors.
• Identify and apply for grants that address school needs
• Build relationships with key donors and identify/cultivate new donors
• Strategize and work alongside Birmingham Jewish Foundation to ensure using allocations/funds to the best of our ability
• Collaborate with Birmingham Jewish Foundation to identify donors to build funds/endowments for the school

**Reports directly to the Head of School and the Board of Directors.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
