Overview

Na Ali'i is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support contracts and procurement operations for one of Nakupuna Companies’ several business lines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating all activities associated with contract, subcontract, and procurement activities to ensure that the goals and financial objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and parameters
• Cradle to grave contracting responsibilities including but not limited to administering contracts, task orders, work requests and intercompany agreements; preparing bidding documents; ensuring all legal, insurance and bonding requirements are met; preparing reports; recording documents; maintaining the contract log and filing system; and working with project and management team to administer active contracts and coordinate contractual closeout requirements as needed
• Works independently on assigned tasks with general guidance from Contracts Management staff

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

• Highly organized.
• Superb oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of contracts and procurement regulations (i.e. FAR, DFARS…).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Word, Excel,
• Outstanding negotiation and interpretation skills.
• Detail oriented.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• 2 – 4 years’ experience with government and/or commercial contracting.
• Experience with Deltek/Costpoint CMS is a plus.

Certification Requirements:

• CFCM certification is preferred but not required.
• CPCM certification is preferred but not required.

Clearance: Not required but must be able to obtain security clearance, if requested. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

• Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
