JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing Clerk is primarily responsible for supporting the District manager and purchasing department in compiling information and records to prepare purchase orders for purchasing materials and supplies for the district office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates requisitions orders for the acquisition of materials and services
• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Assist in preparing spread sheets, special projects, and reviewing reports.
• Monitor and assists with vendor related issues.
• Provides routine administrative support.
• Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A total commitment to working safely and participating in all HSE programs.
• English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• General office experience- filing, faxing, copying, etc.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports.
• Must type 50 words per minute or more.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and Internet Procurement Systems.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position for another drilling contractor of 6 months of service with Nabors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two or four year degree.
• Knowledge of oil and gas equipment is a plus
• Bi-lingual in English/ Spanish is a plus.
