Job DescriptionNashville Market Restaurant Sales Events Manager - Nashville $50-60k DOE with Monthly Commissions Position Summary The Events Manager is responsible for building business for the restaurant through direct and indirect sales techniques including all planning & execution components of private and large party dining and community marketing initiatives. Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
Respond to and set up In-House special events, Off-Site catering, buy-outs to ensure we can best show the brand and capture any sales opportunities.
Identifying market areas and strategic partnerships and opportunities for influencers.
Developing market strategies and tactics.
Prospect event planning and execution, as well as professional referral-based events during pre-opening periods.
Responsible for supporting the General Manager with negotiating the price with clients, then drawing-up and securing BEO’s
Oversee all aspects of delivery service platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub.
Manage relationships with our current PR company.
Position & Experience Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
Knowledge of R365, Avero, MS Office, Excel, and Slack.
Understanding of how to position products against competitors
Understanding and examining and analyzing a P&L’s
Obtain and maintain all work cards required by the state.
At least 3 years of experience in sales, ideally within the hospitality, entertainment, or events industry.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and convert leads into sales
Ability to communicate strategies used to build sales while demonstrating results of said strategies.
Lead development of event pricing structure for large parties and events, as well as manage and update all sales and events menus on a regular basis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and filing tasks
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
