The National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) is a premier membership organization dedicated to supporting the field of family childcare. Position Summary:
The National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) is looking for a part-time temporary Office Assistant to support the Accreditation department. This role involves tracking, fulfilling, and distributing Accreditation materials to family childcare educators nationwide. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service. This is a temporary position and is set to expire on December 31, 2024.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the fulfillment and distribution of Accreditation materials to family child care educators.
  • Handle incoming inquiries related to Accreditation materials via phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials inventory and shipment details.
  • Collaborate with the Accreditation team to ensure timely processing and delivery of materials.
  • Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Accreditation office space.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Familiarity with family childcare educators and their needs is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to handle shipments of materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities.
Schedule and Compensation:
  • Part-time position, 10 hours per week (schedule may vary).
  • Compensation commensurate with experience.
