We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Shift Leader / Head Server. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence: Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, and attended to throughout their dining experience.
Shift Management: Effectively manage the front-of-house (FOH) crew during your assigned shifts, coordinating tasks, and ensuring seamless teamwork and efficiency.
Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor FOH staff, including servers and hosts, to maintain high service standards, product knowledge, and professionalism.
Floor Coordination: Oversee the seating arrangements, manage waitlists, and coordinate with servers to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Problem Solving: Address customer concerns, resolve issues promptly and professionally, and escalate matters when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction.
Order Accuracy: Ensure order accuracy and quality control by regularly checking and reviewing food and beverage items before they are served to customers.
Cash Handling: Supervise cash handling procedures, including opening and closing cash registers, managing cash floats, and reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
Opening and Closing Duties: Perform opening and closing duties as required, ensuring the restaurant is set up for success and all closing procedures are completed accurately.
Collaborative Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the management team, kitchen staff, and FOH crew, relaying pertinent information and fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements:
Customer Service Skills: Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
Leadership Abilities: Ability to lead and manage a team, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operations during shifts.
Hardworking and Reliable: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to consistently perform at a high level.
Open Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business and scheduling needs.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns and provide appropriate resolutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management.
Knowledge of POS Systems: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
