Saint Marys Behavioral Health Center, LLC is an evidence-based, client-centered treatment program that offers clients with all levels of need therapeutic interventions in an environment that is warm and welcoming. SMBHC offers Residential treatment so that clients can receive care that meets them where they are at and helps them "Be the great person they were always meant to be." We are looking for a Director of Housing who thrive in a team-based, client-centric environment. Is this you? Read on!Pay: $50,000 - $55,000Type: Full-time The Director of Housing is a vital member of the Saint Marys Behavioral Health Center System of Care. The Director of Housing is under the supervision of the Clinical Director and is responsible for the complete care and wellbeing of the clients while they are treated at Saint Marys Behavioral Health Center, as well as to record patient behavior and to provide a safe, supportive environment for the clients.Knowledge and Training:
- Must have ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to handle stressful and demanding situations.
- Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in many facets of the recovery program.
- Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
- Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes; Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.
- Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose and of First Aid and CPR.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of a mental health treatment team.
- Discuss admissions, discharges, bed assignments, tech schedule, client activities, problems, concerns, passes.
- Responsible for behavioral health tech schedule, 2 months in advance.
- Contact must be made daily (including weekends) with supervisor.
- Ensures patient confidentiality.
- The Director of Residence Housing is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with SMBHC privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- Maintain a respectful and professional relationship with patients.
- Take responsibility for all Managerial decisions.
- Keep an organized ledger/inventory of supplies needed for clients at community housing.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with SMBHC staff and consumers alike.
- Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
- Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CPR Certification preferred
- Preferred but not required 0-1 years’ experience working with mental health patients in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, in a partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting
