We are seeking a dedicated and creative Assistant to the Product Designer, specializing in swimwear and activewear, to join our dynamic team at Nani Swimwear. In this role, you will assist in designing and developing innovative swimwear and activewear collections that align with our brand vision. This role requires a basic understanding of swimwear and activewear design, fabrics, trends, and manufacturing processes. It provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage detail oriented Excel documentation to communicate garment, logo, and thread colors, materials, and styles.
• Line Sheets - Organize and update comprehensive documentation containing all styles, collections and pricing for the year for retail customers.
• Maintain a comprehensive style archive for each product category, including detailed information such as colorways, style numbers, and SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) codes.
• Update and organize fabric catalogs, ensuring accuracy of fabric specifications such as weight, price per year, and content break down for each factory.
• Curate and maintain a centralized style sheet containing all styles within each product category, along with current price quotes for various fabric options and minimum order quantities (MOQ).
• Partner with the design team to ensure clarity and effective communication of new style specifications to partner factories.
• Document and track changes to samples throughout the production process, ensuring alignment with final product fit standards.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, & Abilities

• Some education in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel.
• Some experience in swimwear and activewear design is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of swimwear and activewear design, fabrics, construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to assist in creating technical drawings and specifications for production.
• Understanding of current fashion trends and market demands.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and quality.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about swimwear and activewear.
