About the role:

As a Subassembly Tech you will perform technical tasks that include but are not limited to assembly of electrical, mechanical, and optical components. In the role you will work cross functionally with engineering and operations teams to ensure on-time execution of production schedules to deliver quality systems to our end customer. 

About You:

A team player that is looking for a fast paced, collaborative environment and enjoys building innovative capital laser, optic, and metrology solutions to support a number of different industries.

What you will do:

  • Assembly of mechanical, electrical and optical components per documented procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations team to provide feedback on subassembly design and process to optimize for quality, reliability, manufacturability and serviceability. 
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects and actives focusing on efficiency and Lean methodology
  • Adhere to company Environment, Health, and Safety policies

What we are looking for:

  • Technical associate degree, military experience, or relevant work experience
  • 3 years of capital equipment experience – working with laser systems and optics is a plus
  • Quality minded individual with high attention to detail and schedule execution
  • Ability to understand and utilize ERP systems for job closures, BOM verifications, and material availability. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret Engineering documents such as drawings, prints, and technical specifications.
  •  Ability to understand direction and follow process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and improve processes
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
