The Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive art curriculum that covers various mediums and techniques, encouraging students to explore and appreciate the visual arts.Key Responsibilities:•Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging art curriculum for high school students.•Teach a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.•Foster a creative and supportive classroom environment that encourages student expression and exploration.•Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments.•Organize and display student artwork within the school and at community events.•Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.•Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment with appropriate supplies and equipment.•Stay current with developments in art education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into the curriculum.•Support students in preparing portfolios for college applications and art competitions.•Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities as required.
