This position is supervised by the Building Supervisor and the Director of Facilities
JOB DESCRIPTION:
•Supervises and works along with the staff in the nightly routine of building maintenance and custodial duties as instructed by the Building Supervisor. Works with the Building Supervisor to get all routine cleaning done and to develop and maintain relationships with faculty and staff that are built around communication and trust. This is a year-round, full time, benefitted position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Performing all custodial tasks along with the other staff members.
•Cleaning and maintaining the assigned building.
•Assigning tasks to the cleaning team and assuring the daily tasks are completed.
•Able to manage minor repairs.
•Capable of general building repairs to include but not limited to, all-purpose carpentry repairs and light new construction, floors, doors, ceilings, furniture, and minor painting.
•Maintain a constant situational awareness of the building(s) and spaces and alerts the Building Supervisor when adverse conditions are discovered.
•Able to supervise and maintain building exterior areas in adverse weather conditions, i.e. snow, sleet, rain.
•Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
