Napa Valley Tours and Transportation , provides private luxury and group charter transportation services in the Napa Valley and surrounding areas. NVTT has been in business for 25 years and is now looking for new hires as we come out of this pandemic and begin to rebuild.

We have immediate openings for career-driven individuals to join us as a valued evening/overnight dispatcher. Schedule will regularly include weekends and rotating holidays. Once trained, typical schedules may include five 8 hour shifts.. Training is initially done during weekday business hours. However, training will occur during various shifts for optimal exposure.

Our extensive clientele relies on us to provide attentive, high-touch service 24/7/365. Attention to detail, concierge-level care, and intelligent problem solving are crucial from all team members, but especially in dispatch. The successful candidate must remain calm but thrive on challenges, problem solving and creating positive solutions that meet and exceed the needs of our clients and drive the success of our team and overall operation.

Job Summary:

This critical role requires the ability to efficiently and accurately monitor, modify and schedule our diverse fleet and chauffeurs on days that could exceed 100 trips. Numerous changes and additions occur throughout the day. Every day involves constant communication, decision making, problem solving, and responding to last minute requests in a calm and professional manner.

We utilize industry-leading software and other technology tools, systems and procedures to assure that all jobs are performed successfully, chauffeurs are on time, complying with DOT regulations and scheduling parameters, running efficiently and providing outstanding service to our clients and team members.

Dispatchers must multi-task, handle spikes of high call volume and calmly function in a fast-paced environment. Evening/Overnight dispatchers operate with trusted autonomy, answer phones, monitor and respond to e-mail and text communications, take and enter reservations, as well as provide quotes and sell our services. Reservations and sales skills both verbally and in writing are a must. Overnight duties may also include some light auditing and clerical tasks, light cleaning and minor fleet prep assistance.

Background & Skillset desired:

- Software proficiency including all MS Office applications

- Ability to follow systems & procedures consistently

- Friendly and courteous, calming tone

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Multi-tasker, problem solver, highly focused, able to quickly think on their feet

- Ability to resolve complaints in a professional and well thought out manner

- Ability to deal effectively with clients, employees, affiliates, partners and leadership while working under pressure and meeting deadlines

- Strong customer service/sales (B2B and B2C)

- Good judgement, trust and integrity

- Ability to comply with corporate policies and procedures

- Prior industry background,

- 2 to 5 years related logistics and customer service preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

- Excellent working knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding area

- Self-motivated, energetic, disciplined with a positive professional attitude

- Ability to navigate around town, read maps & utilize GPS, direct others

- Responsive, active listener and a very quick learner

- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude

- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to NVTT standards

Hourly compensation commensurate with experience and skillset. Overtime, when needed, is mandatory.

Advancement & cross training potential for those qualified.

Please do not apply if you are not willing or able to work evenings, overnight, weekends and rotating holidays.

Must also assist with covering other shifts as needed based on business needs and demands. Some overtime may be mandatory during peak periods.
