Job Summary :

Napleton Lincoln, located in Calumet City, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Automotive Journeyman Technician for Lincoln / Ford vehicles.

This is a full-time, Union position in the Auto industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing skilled labor and maintenance work on Lincoln / Ford vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate repairs to meet dealership and manufacturer standards.

The compensation for this position starts at $40 to $50 per hour, with additional benefits provided by the 701 Union.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Lincoln / Ford vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using electronic diagnostic equipment and manual methods
• Perform complex repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, and other major vehicle components
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all repair and maintenance work
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks and maintain a high level of productivity
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with service advisors, fellow technicians, and customers to provide updates and recommendations for vehicle repairs
• Keep up-to-date with new automotive technologies and industry trends through continuous training and self-learning

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4 years previous experience working on Lincoln / Ford vehicles in a dealership as a journeyman technician
• Must have own tools and equipment
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic equipment and repair manuals
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Good communication and customer service skills
