Job Title: Loan Collections Specialist

Position Summary: Directs and coordinates activities regarding credit investigations and collecting delinquent accounts of customers by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Specific duties expected to be performed are shown below.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for collection of the bank’s overall portfolio on new and existing past due loans
- Review loan edits daily for errors. Corrects errors daily and weekly.
- Handles all Bankruptcy notices as described below:
Chapter 13 requires filing a proof of claim for the Bank to receive payment through the plano
Chapter 7 requires sending reaffirmation agreements on any secured loans in which the borrower wishes to continue payment
- Handles charging off of all non-performing loans that are in Bankruptcy or delinquent beyond 90 days, which collection will be delayed or cease
- Performs filing suits on loans that are deemed collectable. Includes court appearances for any initial or proceeding supplemental cases. Continues collection activities on these cases as long as payment can be collected
- Performs credit bureau reporting through E-Oscar system. Includes researching disputes, reviewing, and correcting the report.
- Handles mailing of all loan notices for maturing and delinquent loans
- Communicates regarding questions about loans and does research on loans when inquire about payments
- Establish and updates customers’ credit activities
- Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account

- Represents Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local
business groups, etc., and promotes Bank's favorable image.

conventional financing mechanisms as vehicles for customers.
- Compliance with bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws/regulations.

Role Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Desire five years banking/related job experience; or minimum three years banking and/or training (desire Customer Service Representative and/or Lending department background); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Desire Bachelor’s Degree in relevant major
- Experience Precision is a plus
- Experience with E-Oscar Credit Reporting is a plus
- Leadership experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. Unscheduled evening and weekend work may be needed to meet the needs of customers and employees. Occasional travel between offices may be required. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment. Some bending, turning, and twisting required.
